SOFIA TILBURY LEADS THE BEAUTY LOOK FOR ZUHAIR MURAD’S HAUTE COUTURE
PARIS FASHION WEEK SHOW, USING CHARLOTTE’S
“I am so delighted to be supporting Zuhair once again for his SS23 show at Paris Couture Fashion Week. This collection was inspired by quiet luxury, so we wanted to honour the pared back elegance of the pieces with a timelessly wearable, sophisticated 70s look using soft mattes and neutral tones.
We used a line-up of Charlotte’s skincare and makeup icons including Magic Cream moisturiser, Hollywood Flawless Filter and Beautiful Skin Radiant Concealer to create a perfected, flawless base, then added Airbrush Brightening Flawless Finish Powder pressed into the centre of the face to bounce the light away from shadow and create a soft, blurred effect on the skin.
Zuhair wanted the models to look quietly confident, with a soft glam look, so we used the creamy, nude tones, chocolate browns and soft blacks from the Super Nudes Easy Eye Palette, The Sophisticate palette and Charlotte’s Eyes to Mesmerise in Oyster Pearl and Chocolate Bronze to create a 70s-inspired smokey eye, blurring the edges for a subtle wing.
We reversed the sculpting process by amplifying the models’ cheekbones, brow bones, eyes and nose with Charlotte’s new Hollywood Glow Glide Face Architect Highlighter. This emollient-rich, light-capturing texture has a way of instantly defining your facial architecture for a lifted, blurred, illuminated effect, with each shade inspired by different lights – candlelight, moonlight, golden hour. The result was a dreamy, lifted glow, tailored to each model’s complexion and expertly applied for an understated, yet luxe-looking contour.
This look also saw the runway debut of Charlotte’s NEW! Pillow Talk Matte Beauty Blush Wands – a soft-focusing, dreamy take on the viral Beauty Light Wands! – which we used for a soft, peachy-pink blush on the cheeks.
The brows were brushed-up and defined through the arch and tail to continue that lifted look, and we used Runway Royalty or Island Dream on the lips, depending on the models’ skin tones, for a subtle, perfected nude lip look.”
