Michelin Star Chef Jitin Joshi returns to Rangoli at Yas Plaza Hotels for IIFA

ABU DHABI, UAE, 30 May 2022: Due to popular demand following a fully-booked Chef’s Table offering at the re-opening of the recently refurbished Rangoli restaurant at Yas Island Rotana, Yas Plaza Hotels, Michelin Star Chef Jitin Joshi is scheduled to return from June 2 to 4. Prepared for discerning diners at the same time as the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Weekend & Awards, his five-course menu at AED299 per person will be available both for lunch from 12:00pm to 3:00pm, early dinner at 5:00pm on the 4th floor of Yas Island Rotana for IIFA lovers, and dinner from 6:00pm to 10:00pm. 

After recreating the new menu of Rangoli with Chef De Cuisine Shadab Qureshi, Chef Jitin is back to deliver another round of unmissable celebration of contemporary Indian cuisine. Upon arrival, enjoy snacks like puffed wild rice bhel, watermelon with whipped feta and masala peanuts. The artichoke and sweet potato chaat will be served after. For the second course, a choice of salmon or spiced avocado both with split coconut emulsion and pickled mooli will be on offer. This will be followed by charred lamb chop or achaari broccoli with garlic labneh and basil chutney. For the mains, the beautiful options include Charred Lamb chops, 12-hour wagyu rib, Curry leaf mackerel, and Grilled portobello. Finally, rounding everything up would be a sweet serving of gulab jamun brioche pudding, rasmalai custard with chikki ice cream.  

Chef Jitin Joshi has led some of the world’s most prestigious kitchens with a notable decorated history of being the Executive Chef of Mayfair’s Benares, where he led the team to win 1 Michelin star in 2007. He was awarded the Best Ethnic Chef by the Craft Guild UK in 2009 and has served under leading hospitality names in the UAE. Chef Jitin was also previously invited to showcase at the Dubai Expo 2020 and has cooked for several ‘A list’ celebrities like David Beckham, Ed Sheeran, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Prince Charles, and the Heiress to Chateau Margaux.

The IIFA Weekend & Awards is set at Yas Island, Abu Dhabi from June 3rd and 4th. Organised in collaboration with the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi), and Miral, Abu Dhabi’s leading curator of magnetic experiences, the event will be hosted by Bollywood superstar Salman Khan.
